This is extremely funny. Eric is pulling a “facebook is being evil” whilst he has the power to improve internet privacy with the removal of the logging of all your searches.
Thats right, Google does log your searches. Lets see, whats more dangerous, the fact that facebook logs pictures you want others to see, or Google that it logs all your pron tastes ? Yeah. I think Eric is being all pissy about the fact that facebook has 10 times the pageviews google has. Hence advertising dollars, hence less money to deposit in their 25 billion cash reserve.
When Dr. Schmidt was confronted he said “well if they are searching for something others shouldnt know maybe they shouldn’t search in the first place”. Well, maybe we should use bing instead ? ’bout that ?
I am not gonna bother you with Mr. Schmidt’s CIA contract for “predicting the future” or Google’s plans for a “not so open wireless internet”.
To rap it all up, use bing, at least they are being honest about it.
